    Des Amis Holiday Homes understands that customers care about the use and storage of their personal information and data and we value your trust in allowing us to do this in a careful and sensible manner.

    We've created this privacy policy statement in order to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of our customers. By using Des Amis Holiday Homes, our website, our telephone reservations line and any other Des Amis Holiday Homes service, you are consenting and agreeing to the practices outlined in this statement. Des Amis Holiday Homes will always handle information in compliance with the Data Protection Act (1998).

    • On our website when you make a booking or use the 'Contact us' forms for an enquiry.

    • By telephone when using our telephone service.
    • At Des Amis guest house, Le Chateau Des Amis or Apartment Belle Vue when you register at reception.

    • To continually improve your customer experience. We use the information to process bookings and payments, communicate with you about bookings, products, services and promotional offers, update our records.
    • To improve our website, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf.
    • To provide you with requested information or correspondence, such as a Des Amis Holiday Homes Directory or a response from us to an enquiry made by you.
    • To send you details of your new, amended or cancelled booking usually via email
    • To contact you in the event of a change that affects your booking or any data or personal information you have provided us with, such as changes to terms and conditions of booking or this privacy policy.
    • With your permission, your contact details may be used to supply information to you by telephone, email or post, about our company. and to send you occasional promotional material, such as information about special offers which we think you might find valuable. If you do not agree to receive this information, you may opt out from receiving future information at any time; see the opt out section of this policy.

    Non disclosure to third parties

    The information and data we collect would not to share this anyone else. Unless we have your express consent, we will never disclose, rent, trade or sell your personal data to any third parties for their marketing or mailing purposes.

    We do disclose or transfer your data or personal information to other companies, data processors or agents employed by us to perform any necessary functions on our behalf, but they are bound by our privacy policy and may not use this information for their own purposes.

Should we change our privacy policy, we will post the changes on this website so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use and under what circumstances we disclose it.

    Opt out / Data quality / Access

    We will always ask your permission before sending you electronic marketing information. This ensures you only receive information that you have given us permission to send and are willing to receive.

    It is possible, if you have given us your permission to receive a type of electronic marketing communication, to alter your contact preferences at any time. You can do this by:

    • On promotional emails we always provide a link at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe you from that service.

    Please note it is not possible to 'opt-out' of receiving communication from us which relate to your bookings. This ensures we can always contact you in the event of a circumstance that affects your stay with us.

  2. Booking Terms & Conditions

    Bookings

    1. Des Amis Guest House (Norwich, UK) room bookings may be made online at  www.desamis.biz  or by phone on    +44 (0) 1603 880966     and can be made by persons aged 18 years or older.
    2. Availability of rooms at Le Chateau Des Amis in St. Lucia can be checked at  www.desamis.co.uk/le_chateau  but room bookings may be made by phone on    +44 (0) 1603 880966    and can be made by persons aged 18 years or older.
    3. Availability of rooms at Apartment Belle Vue in Nice, France can be checked at  www.desamis.co.uk/nice.htm  but room bookings may be made by phone on    +44 (0) 1603 880966    and can be made by persons aged 18 years or older.
    4. All rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking and can be made up to 12 months before the date of arrival.
    5. If you book five or more rooms for the same night we may treat this as a group booking. Our group booking terms and conditions apply to all group bookings and include special termination and payment terms. Please see our Group Booking Terms and Conditions below.
    6. All online bookings except group bookings must be paid for using a credit or debit card. Pay on arrival Flexible rates must be paid for at the time of check-in at the hotel.
    7. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro and Visa Delta/Debit cards. We do not accept payment by Visa Electron or Solo cards.
    8. Room rates do not automatically include food, drink or other services associated with a customer’s stay. Car parking may be available free of charge on a first-come first-served basis. Please check the hotel information at the time of booking.
    9. VAT is included in the price of the room.
      1. VAT invoices for prepay room bookings are available via the initial point of booking, e.g. the Des Amis Guest House Website or a 3rd party travel agent. Customers using the telephone service can obtain a VAT invoice by requesting for it either by email or on the phone.  Our VAT number is: 5953757886..
      2. VAT invoices for Pay on arrival Flexible rates are available once payment is made during check in upon arrival at the Guest House, Chateau or Apartment.

     

    Group booking terms & conditions

     

    1. If you make a group booking, these group booking terms and conditions apply to the contract between you and Des Amis Holiday Homes in addition to our booking terms and conditions. Please see our Booking terms and conditions.
    2. A group booking is any booking by you of five or more rooms for the same night, even if the rooms are booked at different times for the same night.
    3. Where you book more than 28 days before the date of arrival, you must pay a 10% deposit at the time of booking in which case you must settle the balance at least 28 days prior to the date of arrival. Alternatively, you may choose to pay the balance in full at the time of booking.
    4. If you book 28 days or less before the date of arrival, you must pay in full at the time of booking.
    5. We may cancel your reservation or reservations if you do not make a payment (eg deposit or balance) when it is due. Before cancelling your booking, we will normally send you an email or contact you by telephone giving you a final chance to pay in full within 24 hours.
    6. We will not refund any payment you have made to us (eg deposit or balance) if (a) we cancel the booking because you have not made a payment when it is due or (b) you cancel the booking (c) one or more persons do not show for the rooms booked. In such cases, you cannot transfer that payment to another person or to another booking or reinstate or change the date of the booking.
    7. The rates quoted for this reservation are applicable for this reservation only.
    8. No commission is payable on rates that have been negotiated.
    9. We may cancel your group booking if you breach any part of the contract.
    10. If the person booked in does not show on the first day of the reservation, we will, at our own discretion treat the entire individual reservation as cancelled. Therefore the remaining nights of a multi night booking will be cancelled and no refund will be given. Guests must check in by 6am on the day following the day of arrival.

     

    Room Rates

    1. Des Amis Holiday Homes reserves the right to constantly adjust its room prices. Any increased price will be advised at time of booking. For details of our room prices, please check online or call on   +44 (0) 1603 880966 . Once you have booked a room, we will not increase the price. Rates for room stays are available up to 12 months in advance of the date of arrival.

    Breakfast, room extras and Refund Cover (Des Amis Guest House in Norwich, UK)

    1. Customers can purchase a Des Amis Guest House breakfast online or via the phone at the time of booking, but once purchased breakfast cannot be cancelled without cancelling your room reservation. Breakfasts purchased online or by phone, may also NOT be cancelled at the hotel reception upon arrival. However, additional breakfasts may be purchased from reception on arrival at the guest house.
    2. If the room reservation is cancelled and is refundable, breakfast costs will also be refunded. If the room reservation is non-refundable (see Section Cancellation or amendment to room bookings) then breakfast and any other room extras will also be non-refundable.
    3. Breakfasts and room extras are subject to availability and cannot be transferred. In the event of Breakfast or room extras (purchased at the time of booking) being unavailable at a hotel upon arrival a refund will be given.
    4. You are advised to have adequate travel insurance to cover for losses arising as a result of specified events that occur before or during a trip, including: room cancellation and abandoning your trip as we do not provide this service.

    Hotel facilities and check-in / departure

    1. Check in is from 3pm but not later than 1am on the date of arrival and departure is before 12 noon on the day of departure. We'll make an additional charge equivalent to one night’s stay for any room not vacated by 12 noon unless prior notice is given to us by you and an agreement is reached.
    2. Family rooms are available which can sleep up to four people - 2 adults and 2 children under 16, or up to 3 adults.
    3. Accessible rooms with facilities for disabled guests are available to book online or by phone. Please specify a disabled room when booking.
    4. All public areas in our premises are designated as non-smoking.
    5. Please advise the hotel before booking if you have any pets as circumstances may not allow us to accommodate pets at the time of your booking.

    Cancellation or amendment to room bookings

    1. Unless specified otherwise, you can cancel or amend  bookings up to 12 noon on the day of arrival by calling        +44 (0) 1603 880966.   If you cancel later than 12 noon we'll charge you for one night's stay per room booked.
    2. If leaving early from a multi-night stay, please vacate the room and advise reception at the hotel. As long as you do this before 12 noon on the day of early departure, refunds will be given for the remaining nights of the reservation to the card used for payment. Where you do this after 12 noon on the day of early departure, refunds will be given for any remaining nights of the reservation after the day of early departure.
    3. If you do not turn up on the first night of a single or multi-night stay booked (latest check in is 4am), the remaining nights of the reservation may be cancelled.
      • Refunds will not be available for the first night of the reservation but refunds for any remaining nights may be claimed by contacting us within 30 days of the booked date of arrival. Refunds will be made to the card used for payment within 5 to 7 working days of receipt of the request.
    4. You must not resell or transfer any bookings (in whole or in part).
    5. If you make a booking on someone else's behalf you must note on our booking system the correct contact details of the person who will be staying in the room.
    6. We may cancel any booking that is transferred or resold in contravention to 6 and 7 above and you will not be entitled to a refund.

    Liability

    1. Unless the person making the booking is a consumer, Des Amis Holiday Homes shall have no liability for any consequential loss arising out of or in connection with the booking or the contract between us (except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Des Amis Holiday Homes).
    2. The total liability of Des Amis Holiday Homes for any loss other than death or personal injury caused by Des Amis Holiday Homes' negligence shall not exceed twice the total sums charged by Des Amis Holiday Homes for the booking.
    3. If you suffer as a result of any breach by Des Amis Holiday Homes, you must do everything reasonable to keep your losses to a minimum.
    4. Des Amis Holiday Homes will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations in relation to the booking due to any circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, any form of industrial action).

    Additional terms

    1. In the event that a room is unavailable on arrival due to overbooking, our staff will attempt to locate suitable alternative local accommodation at no extra charge. Where this is not possible or alternative accommodation is not required, we will cancel the booking and we will refund the sum paid for the room to the credit/debit card used for payment.
    2. In the event of malicious, wilful or negligent room or other property damage, Des Amis Holiday Homes will charge the amount of any loss sustained by Des Amis Holiday Homes, including business interruption losses to the credit/debit card of the registered customer. Where payment by the customer was made by means other than credit/debit card, Des Amis Holiday Homes will pursue the matter through the civil courts.
    3. We recommend that in addition you print off the terms and conditions and the booking confirmation for your records.
    4. English is the only language offered for the conclusion of the contract.

    We take security very seriously at Des Amis Holiday Homes and have gone to great lengths to ensure that using your credit card to book rooms via our web site is a secure way to pay for your stay. Many of our customers book successfully online and we are proud to say that none of our customers have experienced fraudulent use of a credit or debit card as a result of bookings made with us.

    We have put a number of security steps in place to give you total confidence when booking with us:

    1. All sensitive information, including personal details as well as credit card information, is kept confidential through encryption.
    2. We do not retain live records of your credit card information on our web servers after the transaction has been completed.

    For additional protection, we use PayPal at the point of payment. For most cards, including Visa and Mastercard, the code is the last three digits printed on the signature strip on the back of the card. For American Express, the code is the four digits printed on the front of the card above the main card number.
